SUMMER CAMP IS COMING

You do not want your student to miss camp this summer. Camp is a great place to take big steps in our walk with Jesus. We spend time with old friends, make new friends, and get the chance to worship in a way that is different from the rest of the year. Of all the plans you’re making summer, make sure you make plans for your student to be with us at camp.

The best way to enjoy camp? Bring a friend. We want to see God do something special in everyone and in all of our surrounding communities, which means we want to see your student be a part of God reaching their school. Help them think through a friend that needs to be a camp and make a plan to invite them! We can’t wait to spend our summer with all of our students and their friends.

Serve at Camp!

There are two chances for students to serve at camps this summer and it’s an awesome chance to be a part of all that God is doing.

If you’re a high school student over the age of 16, you are invited to apply to serve at our middle school camp. These high school students get the chance to lead small groups, serve in ministry, and learn what it’s like to take a step and lead in big ways. This draws us close to God and teaches us to love the students in our ministry. If your high school student (must be 16+) wants to be a part, they can apply here. Also, these students do not have to pay to attend our middle school camp since they are serving. While we may not be able to take every student that applies, we desire to open the opportunity to as many as we can take.

If you’re an 8th grader, you’re invited to apply to serve at our high school camp for the first time!

This year we are doing our own high school camp at Lone Hollow Ranch in South Texas, one of the nicest camps in the country. As part of using their facilities, we bring a work crew with us that serves at camp in the kitchen and on camp grounds. They also get the chance to enjoy free time and worship sets. These 8th graders are welcome to come serve and get a taste of high school camp, without paying to be there. We’d love to have them come serve and be a part of all God is doing! If your student is interested, they are able to apply here.

From the Student Pastor-

As we enter the last quarter of the school year, we are so thankful for all God is doing in our student ministry, and we know it’s only the beginning. In the last year, we’ve seen over 100 baptisms, our average student attendance has more than doubled, and we continue to reach more students in more areas. We are thankful that we see more Boyd students, more Decatur students, and more Springtown students than we ever have during the history of student ministry at Grace. Along with that, we continue to see massive numbers of Paradise students and a continued growth in visitors from Bridgeport. God is doing something great in all of our towns!

With all of this growth, and reaching an average of 700 students each month, it can feel like a lot of change or some students can feel like they are just one new person in a sea of new people. However, my favorite part of our team is how tirelessly we work to get to know our students. My hope is that your student feels seen and known in our spaces. One way to become a part of who we are as not just an attender, but someone who is known every time they walk through the door, is to go to camp. It gives us, as a staff, a chance to spend a whole week with your student and gives your student a chance to spend a whole week with friends. Relationships are built, faith is deepened, and we become a better community of people the more of us that go to camp. It’s why we take camp so seriously and why we want your student there.

We believe God is doing something in the next generation and a big part of that is what he’s going to do at camp this summer, so, make time this summer for your student to join us in what we know will be a life changing experience.

Thank you for letting us serve your student, your family, and our communities each week! It’s a gift to be a part of what God is doing in North Texas and we don’t take it lightly.

Thanks,
Laine
